These are the words that define Dunkley Lumber Ltd.
Dunkley is a company with deeply rooted family values. This isn’t just a business. It’s our home. We’re here for the long-term, and we manage our business accordingly – from the land base to the people who work for us, to the communities in which we live.
Our employees make their homes in Prince George, Quesnel and Hixon. When they go home at night, they get to enjoy strong, healthy communities with the lifestyles and amenities to make them the best places in British Columbia to live. So, while we invest in the long-term health of our business, we also support the communities that sustain us and our employees.
It’s important to us that, when they’re done work, our employees return to their families healthy and happy. So you will find an uncompromising culture of safety in everything we do. That is why safety is our number one concern.
Wherever we harvest, we recognize that we have an obligation to manage the land sustainably. We show our commitment to sustainability through our third party certification. Nowhere is this commitment to sustainability more apparent than on Tree Farm License 53 (TFL 53), an area-based forest tenure right in our backyard. This form of tenure ensures we manage the public’s land as if it were our own, because the returns we get tomorrow are only as good as the investments we make today.
Our commitment to the economic and environmental sustainability of TFL 53 will ensure the land is there for our children and grandchildren, and our employees’ children and grandchildren to enjoy for generations to come.
