PARTS & WAREHOUSE TECHNICIAN

Dunkley Lumber Ltd. is a respected family-owned company headquartered in Strathnaver, just 75 km south of Prince George, B.C. We operate a modern and efficient dimension sawmill and planermill producing high-quality lumber products sold across North America and in overseas markets. Additionally, Dunkley operates sawmill facilities in Grande Cache, Alberta, and Carrot River, Saskatchewan.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Parts & Warehouse Technician to join our team. This full-time position is based at our Strathnaver location and plays an important role in supporting mill maintenance operations through effective parts organization, inventory control, and coordination with both Maintenance and Purchasing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining an organized and efficient parts room, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting day-to-day maintenance needs. This role requires strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and organize parts rooms to ensure a clean, efficient, and well-structured workspace
  • Manage inventory, including cycle counts, restocking, and monitoring stock levels
  • Ensure inventory usage is tracked accurately, and documentation is kept up to date
  • Support Purchasing and Maintenance with parts coordination and procurement needs
  • Assist in organizing, staging, and supplying parts for maintenance activities
  • Maintain accurate item information and naming conventions within inventory systems
  • Identify and remove obsolete or redundant inventory
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding parts and inventory needs
  • Uphold safe work practices and contribute to a positive and professional work environment

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Previous experience in a parts, warehouse, or inventory-related role is preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment
  • Computer proficiency (inventory systems, basic reporting, email, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks
  • Commitment to safety, professionalism, and confidentiality requirements

This position offers a competitive salary in the $60,000 – $90,000 range, based on experience and qualifications. Dunkley also offers a comprehensive benefits and pension package, along with opportunities for growth within an industry-leading company.
