At Strathnaver, we manufacture SPF (Spruce-Pine-Fir) dimension lumber from White Spruce, Lodgepole Pine and Alpine Fir. Douglas Fir dimension is also produced 1-2 times per year.

We typically have a run of each size of lumber over a 3-4 week rotation, with the exception of 2×3 runs which are based on market demand or by request.

Trimblocks
We currently produce 2 types of trimblocks. In the production of 2×4’s we recover a ‘stud grade’ trimblock. For 2×6 through 2×12 we produce a ‘rip grade’ trimblock. Please contact Peter for a more detailed grade description or for further discussion of our trimblock products.
SPF 2″ Shop&Btr
SPF Shop&Btr is primarily used for remanufacturing into smaller, clear pieces. Clear pieces may be recovered by ripping (edging), crosscutting (trimming) or a combination of the two. Please call Glen to discuss any opportunities with our Shop&Btr grade.
Economy
We produce a Para 122e ‘Economy’ grade from 2×3, 2×4, 2×6, 2×8, 2×10 and 2×12 lumber. This grade is primarily sold for remanufacturing into other products. We also produce Para 113e #5 Commons from 1×4 and 1×6 boards, which is a very similar grade. The lengths available are 8′-16′.
