Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
We are currently seeking a dynamic, full-time Certified Millwright to join our maintenance team. The position will be based out of the Strathnaver location, which serves as a central hub for our regional operations.
Key responsibilities include maintaining sawmill and planer mill mechanical assets while ensuring safe reliable uptime. As an Industrial Mechanic with Dunkley, you will have an opportunity to utilize your troubleshooting and problem-solving skills while working on state-of-the-art equipment. We are looking for an extremely motivated, safety-conscious individual to join our team.
The successful candidate will possess the following technical skills and experience:
- Journeyperson certification as an Industrial Mechanic; apprentices in the latter stage of their training are also encouraged to apply.
- Substantial industrial mechanical experience, preferably from a sawmill or wood production facility.
- Extensive experience in maintaining and troubleshooting industrial processing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and various conveyance equipment.
- Experience with primary and secondary wood breakdown and manufacturing equipment is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail with a precision maintenance mindset.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis abilities.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under time constraints.
- A very strong commitment to safety.
This position offers a highly competitive wage of up to $46.08 per hour (depending on experience), along with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career growth within our industry-leading company.
