RECEPTION & OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Dunkley Lumber Ltd. is a respected family-owned company headquartered in Strathnaver, just 75 km south of Prince George, B.C. We operate a modern and efficient dimension sawmill and planermill producing high-quality lumber products sold across North America and in overseas markets. Additionally, Dunkley operates sawmill facilities in Grande Cache, Alberta, and Carrot River, Saskatchewan.

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Reception & Office Administrator to join our office team. This full-time position is based out of our Strathnaver location, which serves as a central hub for our regional operations.

This is a high-volume, fast-paced front office role that requires a strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt throughout the day. The successful candidate will be confident managing competing requests, supporting multiple departments, and maintaining a high level of organization and professionalism in a busy environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and direct a high volume of incoming phone calls and general inquiries in a professional and efficient manner
  • Greet and assist visitors while maintaining a well-organized and welcoming front office
  • Provide administrative support across multiple departments, including data entry, reporting, and general coordination
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and assist with document preparation
  • Support day to day office operations, including ordering supplies, coordinating deliveries, and helping ensure the office runs smoothly
  • Respond to requests that arise throughout the day from various team members and supervisors in a timely and organized manner
  • Cross-train and provide backup support for other administrative roles as required

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in an office or administrative role
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to stay organized and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative

This position offers a competitive wage and benefits program, along with opportunities for growth within an industry leading company. The expected salary ranges from $51,000 – $58,000, depending on skill and related experience.
